Ananey Nykonchuk

96, Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 7, 2017. Born, October 22, 1920 in the Ukraine. Loving husband to Tanya Miniajlo Nykonchuk. Caring father to Debbie Brandt(Huck Engle), Mark Kelly, Tim(Kelly) Kelly and Terry(Kathy) Kelly. Proud Grandfather to Tina(Damien), Elizabeth, Mark, Amanda, Samantha, T.J., Nikki, Sean and Matthew. Great-Grandfather to Vivienne, Montgomery, Kaydence, Riley, Chase, Kevin, Shawn, Gage, Dale and Madison.

Ananey dedicated his life to the freedom of the Ukraine and the welfare of the Ukrainian people. He was a faithful member of St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church for over 60 years. He served with distinction as Parish Council president for many terms. Ananey’s diplomacy, sense of fairness and his extraordinary capacity to treat others with dignity and respect served the parish well, especially in challenging and difficult times.

Friends will be received from 2-8 pm. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 with a Parastas service held at 7:30 pm. at the Cieslak & Tatko Funeral Home and Cremation Services; 2935 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15227.

The funeral service will be held 10 am., Thursday, May 11, 2017 at St Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
