Dawn M (Brenlove) Dean

Our “Dawnie” of Bethel Park, PA passed away on April 6, 2017 at the age of 84. Born in Pittsburgh on June 7, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Milo & Amelia Brenlove of Carrick, PA.

Dawn was a beloved wife to the late John “Jack” Dean, a devoted mother to Michael (Sue), Robert and Brian (Peggy) Dean, a loving grandmother to Jessica Kos, Jordan and Zachary Dean, and a great grandmother to Logan and Keeley. She was preceded in death by her sister, Yvonne “Sis” (Kuntz) Walsh.

She was the lead in her senior-class play and played records at school picnics. Dawn adored oldies and doo-wop and in recent years played it 24/7 at home. She loved attending live theatre and musical reviews, plus she enjoyed out-of-town trips with Jack. Most of all, Dawn dedicated her life to her three sons, all of whom miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2–4 pm & 6–8 pm at Cieslak & Tatko Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 2935 Brownsville Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15227.

A Blessing Service will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 10 am at Cieslak & Tatko followed by a 10:30 am. Memorial Service at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery Mausoleum, 509 Washington Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15228. Immediately following is a life celebration luncheon for Dawn at a longtime favorite of the family: Royal Place in Overbrook, 2660 Library Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15234.
