85, Went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2016. Born April 19, 1931 in Pittsburgh son of the late Frank W. and Catherine M. Etzel. Loving husband of Joan T.(Thompson) Etzel. Caring father to Dana M.( Jay) Etzel-Hardman, F. William (Kim) Etzel III and Kirsten M. Etzel-Bilbie. Proud Grandfather of Meghan Davis, Kaitlyn Reges, Colin Etzel-Hardman, F.W. (Billy) Etzel IV, Mikayla Bilbie and Brendan Etzel. Preceded in death by daughter Kimberly Etzel.

Frank served in Coast Guard during the Korean War. He was a milkman for Country Bell Dairy and went on to become Lt. at the Allegheny county aviation fire department. He single handedly battled a fire when one of the hangers caught  a blaze and was noted for his bravery. Frank was avid bowler, accordion player, musician and played many events with his band in the Pittsburgh area. He will be remembered for his many stories and jokes that he shared with anyone who would listen.

Member of the Knights of Columbus, past Treasurer for the Willock Social Club, past President of the Country Bell Credit Union, Baldwin Borough auditor, Retired fire fighters local #1038 and past President of the Baldwin AARP group. Please remember Frank in your prayers.

The family would like to extend thanks to the VA Hospital and Forbes Hospice for the great care and help they gave.

 A Memorial will be held at Holy Apostle Parish of St. Wendelin Catholic Church on

Monday, October 10, 2016 at 10:30 am.
