Josephine (Kozikowski) Bobinski

  Age 100 , passed peacefully, on Monday April 18, 2016. . Born November 29, 1915 in Philipsburg, PA. Preceded in death by her husband Waslow (d. 1953); her parents Maryanna and Alexander, brothers Chester and Alex, sisters Julia and Pauline and all their spouses; stepdaughters Virginia and Bernice; her nephews Gerard and Raymond and nieces Gemma and Suzanne.

Josephine (Jo) is survived by her son John and daughter Patricia, her devoted grandson Chris, his wife Dianna and great-grandchildren Christopher and Gina,along with many nieces and nephews and their children.” Mrs. B” was a long-time elementary school teacher at Nativity school in South Park and also taught for many years in the CCD program at St. Wendelin Parish, Carrick, where she had been a member since her marriage in 1937. Josephine was a woman of deep faith, gentle and soft spoken but also strong. Her kindness and generosity were apparent to all who knew her.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 22, 2016 from 2- 4pm and 6-8 pm at Cieslak & Tatko Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2935 Brownsville Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15227.

Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 10 am at St. Paul of the Cross Monastery where Josephine had been a Novena participant since she her high school days. Interment will follow at St. Wendelin Cemetery.
