Sarah Jane (Onomastico) Mitchell

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister was called back to God on December 19, 2016 to be with Bob, her husband, sisters and brothers and her mom and dad. Behind to keep her memory alive she leaves her children Bobby, David, Jimmy and Laura. Her 11 grandchildren and one great granddaughter, her older brother Vince, numerous nephews, nieces and dear friends.

Visitors are welcome to say a final goodbye on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm at Cieslak & Tatko Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2935 Brownsville Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15227.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, in Pleasant Hills, at 10 am.

December 31, 2016 These words are what I had prepared to say at  Sarah Jane's funeral service but nerver had the chance to express my feelings at the Mass. 
Good morning my name is Vince Onomastico one of Sarahjane's older brothers. 
I would like to thank all of you for being in attendance today I know many of you had to make special arrangements to be here. 
It is with great sadness that I stand up here today. When Sarahjane passed away last week it was very difficult. 
I loved Sarahjane very much and we all know how much she loved all her family and friends. 
I know my sister Sarahjane was always a tough lady but in the past seven months in and out of the hospital and rehab facilities she endured one challenge after another with hope each one would be the one that would put her back to the family she loved and in the end she lost the battle! 
Watching this I believe Sarahjane Mitchell my sister is the most remarkable courageous woman I know. 
My memories of Sarahjane are mostly in two parts of our lives. One where we basically grew up together from the time she was born to about Sarahjane's age of 13 years. 
Being 4 1/2 years older than her Sarahjane was always thought of as my little sister. I always felt it was my job to watch out for her. Sarahjane was a typical happy and mischievous little girl. She must've made quite an impression on me during those years . I say this because I call Marisa my only daughter ,Sarahjane half of the time. Fortunately my daughter Marisa is good about it and just answers to both names. 
The second part was in our senior years when our siblings could use some love and sometimes help.If they were in Texas ,California or Pittsburgh Sarah Jane was there taking the lead most of the time. 
I love Sarahjane and I know she loved me because every time that I made her laugh Telling one of my stores she would say --Oh brother !
