Dolores "Bootsie" (Kosanovich) Kovalcik

 88, of Carrick, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2017.  Born on Pittsburgh’s Southside on December 6, 1928, Bootsie was the daughter of the late Nicholas “Nick” and Helen Kosanovich, beloved wife of the late Joseph Kovalcik, loving mother to Mark and Jeffrey Kovalcik, and dear sister of Ann Kosanovich and the late Nicholas “Sonny” Kason.

Bootsie was a 1947 graduate of South High School.  She was also a lifelong lover and supporter of Tamburitza music, as well as a hugger and smoocher extraordinaire.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 2 to 9 at Cieslak & Tatko Funeral  Home and Cremation Services, 2935 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15227.  A Pomen Service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 7 pm.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 450 Maxwell Drive, Pittsburgh, PA  15236 (in Whitehall).  Interment will be at the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox -St. George Cemetery.
