Tommy was a family friend for over 60 years; he is my brother David's Godfather; my father who passed in June, was a close friend for many years. My siblings and I will greatly miss his humor, his candor, and his friendship. He always felt like part of the family, with his many visits to Erie, Greensboro, and then to Clearwater and Hernando, FL.
A quick story: My parents, Don and Betty, moved to Erie in June of 1962; one of the first friends to come visit, Tommy arrived just in time for a torrential downpour; I was only 6 but I watched as Tommy, Paul Kehoe, and my Dad moved all the moving boxes from our basement up to the first or second floor, as we had almost 3 feet of water in the basement; Tommy must have carried 50 boxes, and hundreds of buckets of water up and out of the house. A true friend indeed. May God Bless!
