Age 90, of Jefferson Hills, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2018. Born on Pittsburgh’s Southside on October 12, 1927, Ann was the daughter of the late Nicholas “Nick” and Helen Kosanovich, loving aunt “Tetka” to Mark and Jeffrey Kovalcik, and dear sister of the late Dolores “Bootsie” (Joseph F.) Kovalcik and the late Nicholas “Sonny” Kason.
Ann was a 1945 honors graduate of South High School and, having earned a scholarship, a graduate of the Grace Martin School of Business. She worked as an Executive Secretary for 33 years at United States Steel Corporation. She loved to sing and was a past member of the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church Choir and the U. S. She and her sister/ lifelong best friend Bootsie, whom she lost just over a year ago, were affectionately known as “The Daisies”. They spent nearly every day together and, now that they are reunited, can be found wherever there is Tamburitza music in heaven.
