Carlton S “Sam” Palmer
January 26, 1954 – April 25, 2026
Age 72, formerly of Mt. Washington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Mary Dytko Palmer; loving father of John Paul (Valerie), Alexander “Al” (Kylee), and Timothy (Alyssa). A proud and loving grandfather to Sophia, Josephine, Noah, and Ripley, who were the light of his life and brought him endless joy. He cherished each of them deeply, treasuring every moment spent together. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, as well as his faithful companion, Angel. He dedicated many years of hard work to Conrail Railroad, later Norfolk Southern, before retiring. Past member and trustee of Eagles ‘76’ Mt. Washington where he enjoyed organizing the children’s picnic carnival. He loved making memories with his family at camp, traveling, playing bingo and cards, and especially enjoying special trips with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his love, kindness, and the joy he brought to all who knew him.
Friends will be received on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 2-8 pm. with a funeral service at 7 pm. at the Cieslak & Tatko Funeral Home and Cremation Services. 2935 Brownsville Road; Pgh, Pa 15227.
