Edward “Pinky” K. Davison, III, 90, of Baldwin Borough
March 9, 1935 – August 30, 2025
Edward “Pinky” K. Davison, III, 90, of Baldwin Borough, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025. Born on March 9, 1935, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Edward K. Davison, former Mayor of Fox Chapel and President of Davison Sand and Gravel, and Willa S. Davison.
Pinky was a 1953 graduate of Shady Side Academy, where he proudly played varsity soccer. He went on to serve in the Pennsylvania National Guard from 1956 to 1961, achieving the rank of sergeant. He was also a member of the Fox Chapel Volunteer Fire Department from 1954 to 1959, later becoming an honorary member — a recognition that reflected his enduring community spirit.
Throughout his working life, Pinky wore many hats. He owned and operated his own business, Davison Manufacturing, and later enjoyed a long career as an outside sales representative for several companies, retiring from Noshok Corporation of Berea, Ohio, on December 31, 2001.
Pinky was a lifelong sports fan with a particular passion for soccer, hockey, and baseball. He faithfully followed the Pittsburgh Spirit during the heyday of indoor soccer and kept up with European and South American professional leagues. He was a longtime supporter of Pittsburgh hockey — first the Hornets, then the Penguins. But perhaps his greatest love was baseball, and he remained a devoted Pittsburgh Pirates fan throughout his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Bernadette Kijanka Davison; his children from his first marriage, Anne K. Davison-Vareha (Richard) and Edward “Ted” K. Davison, IV (Deborah); and his cherished grandchildren, Olivia Vareha (Vincent Agresti), Kaitlyn Toy (Mason), and Kyle Vareha. He was the oldest brother of the late James S., John R., and Willa “Billie” Davison Berents.
Pinky will be remembered for his love of family, his warm personality, and his unwavering loyalty to the teams and traditions that shaped his life.
