Elizabeth "Betty" M. (Caligiuri) Conroy

Elizabeth “Betty” M. (Caligiuri) Conroy, lifelong resident of Pittsburgh, PA died peacefully on June 22, 2020 at the age of 92. 

Born March 27, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA, Betty is preceded in death by her husband John D. Conroy, parents Carmen J. Caligiuri and Thelma S. Matz, brother Carmen (Joe) Jr., and sister Drusilla (Dru). She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Betty enjoyed bowling, playing cards, dancing and spending time with her family. 

Betty is survived by her children: John (Cynthia) Conroy of California, Marilyn (Dennis) Roll of Ohio, Tim Conroy, Joyce (Rich) Park, Brian (Karen) Conroy, Glenn (Tara) Conroy, and Dru Ellen Conroy of Pittsburgh, in addition to 14 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. 

A private graveside service will be held for immediate family at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in McMurray, Pa. A celebration of life will be held at a later time. The family requests in lieu of flowers, to please make a donation to your favorite charity in Betty’s memory. 

Betty’s infectious laugh and desire to make others smile will be missed greatly, but her love, and the memories she created will live on forever. Her family will keep her spirit alive by sharing her stories and laughing… always laughing!
