John J. Sallinger

87, residing in Clearwater, Florida passed away peacefully on Easter morning, April 4, 2021. Born in Pittsburgh on June 6, 1933. Beloved husband of 64 years to the late Antonina “Dolly” Sallinger.  Devoted father to John (Sue) Sallinger, Daniel (Kim) Sallinger and Debra (Bruce) Bruzda. Proud Grandfather to Jesse (Jennifer) Sallinger, Ryan Bruzda, Jarod (Maryann) Sallinger, Cory Bruzda, Gina Sallinger and Karlee (Derek) Schwartz. Great-Grandfather to Brielle, Luke, Tristan, Beau, Paxton and Parker.  He is survived by two sisters, Mildred Jacovino and Shirley Beveridge. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Junior, Kenny, and Albert.  John will be remembered as a people person, always smiling, and cherished the time he spent with his family.  
Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2020 at Blessed Trinity Parish at St Sylvester’s Catholic Church.
