Linda Christine Hassett

Linda Hassett was born on October 18, 1951, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025.   Linda was the daughter of James T. Hassett and Lois B. Hassett(Schnupp). Her siblings were James(Lin), Michael(Carol), Kathleen(Gary), Paul(Andrea), Robert(Kelly), Lois(David). Linda was a gentle, kind, loving person, who needed little to make her happy. Her gift was kindness to family, friends and strangers expecting little in return. Linda was a caring aunt for eight nieces and nephews and nine great nephews and nieces. She had good relationships with numerous cousins.

Linda worked in the customer service field at several retailers in the Pittsburgh area. She was personable to her customers remembering many facts about their lives. Linda was friendly as a customer and always had a complement for those who provided her with service or help.  

Faith was important to Linda: her mantra was “Believe.”  Linda also strongly felt that “Health was your wealth.”

In retirement, Linda lived independently and while not married had a long relationship with Andy, who she described as the love of her life. Sadly, Andy passed away, and Linda honored her relationship with him.

In recent years Linda lived in personal care homes.  She will be missed by Franny, Maryann, Kia and many staff and residents of the personal care homes.

There will be no funeral viewing or service at Linda’s wish.  The family will have a memorial service in the near future.
