Marianne Monahan   9/20/52 - 2/19/25

Marianne, age 72 of Brentwood passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday 2/19/25 with her family by her side. She is the daughter of the late Thomas and Lois Monahan and is survived by her son Justin Sturak and daughter-in-law Missy, sisters Lynn Melton (in Maryland) and Noreen (Larry), brothers Thomas and Mark, and sister-in-law Sharon Monahan. 

She was also the fun-loving aunt of Thomas, Stacy, Keith, Christopher, Marisa, and Matt, a proud great aunt of eight. She also has many dear long-time friends that added joy to her life. 

Serving in the community Marianne prepared taxes for over 30 years continuing her mother's tax business.  Although she was slowing down, she had always been very active and enjoyed traveling, scuba diving adventures and biking, completing a 25-mile ride on her 60th birthday. 

She was also very colorful - loved tie-die clothes, neon colors, red, white and blue decorations, and everything Irish and green. She always wore her black and gold on game days, and the house was always decorated with lights, especially at Christmas and she loved hosting at the holidays.  Sitting around the fire-pit with friends and tending to her garden and plants were her favorite pastimes.

She was very loving and very loved and will be missed greatly.

Friends will be received on Saturday, March1, 2025 from 3-8 pm at the Cieslak & Tatko Funeral Home and Cremation Services; 2935 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA  15227. 

A Memorial service will be held at 8 pm. March 1, 2025, at the funeral home.
