Mary Ann (Osowski) Zenchak

76, entered Eternal Life peacefully on October 2, 2020. She was known affectionately to many of her sons’ friends as “Our Lady of South Side”. Mary Ann was the daughter of Walter and Rose (Svienty) Osowski, devoted wife of Nick Zenchak, caring mother of Tim Zenchak (Mary Beth) and Andy Zenchak, and super-loving grandmother (MiMi) of Kyle Zenchak and Angela Zenchak. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her brother Thomas (Judy). She is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as a host of close friends that she held dear in her heart.

Despite being homebound for the past nineteen years, Mary Ann offered an excellent example to her family and friends for persevering through suffering and pain. In fact, she spent much of her time praying for the needs of others, especially asking “Her Uncle” Pope John Paul II and St Terese of Liseux to take her prayer requests for them to the Lord.

She was a longtime member of St Peter Parish in South Side, where she and her husband Nick served in many roles before she became sick. She offered up her sufferings to God, but also enjoyed watching EWTN, as well as cheering on her Pittsburgh Pirates and Pitt Panthers sports teams.  She enjoyed baking many things, including boiled cookies, poppy seed cake as well as baking and decorating beautiful wedding cakes for her family and friends. She liked many different types of music, but she especially enjoyed listening to Polkas and Bobby Vinton.

Family and Friends will be received 4-8 pm. on Friday, October 9th at the Cieslak & Tatko Funeral Home and Cremation Services; 2935 Brownsville Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15227.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Blessed Trinity Parish, St Albert the Great Church, 3171 Churchview Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15227, on Saturday, October 10th, at 10:30 am.
