98, Passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.  Born in Pittsburgh on January 31, 1927.  Beloved son to the late Harry and Mary Murtaugh. Loving husband of 74 years to Cecilia M. Murtaugh who passed in 2024. Caring father to William J. (Karen) Murtaugh, Thomas P. Murtaugh, Joy (John) Meiers, Michael (Donna) Murtaugh, Mary Murtaugh, Daniel (Annette) Murtaugh and James (Shea) Murtaugh. Proud grandfather to Stephen, Lindsey (Brad), Abby (Jeremiah), Michael (Jennifer), Kevin, Kaitlin (Connor) and Ryan. Great grandfather to Daniel, Patience, Caleb, Marley and Emiline. Preceded in death by one grandson Brian Murtaugh and his siblings Eleanor Murtaugh, Harry Murtaugh and Anna McMahon. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and loving extended family members.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 am. on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Blessed Trinity Parish at St Albert the Great Catholic Church; 3198 Schieck St, Pittsburgh, PA 15227 at a later date. Please check back for date and times. 

Interment will be held at St Wendelin Cemetery.
